What information STiLE may collect?

  • The names, email addresses and personal information entered in the STiLE website will be used exclusively for the purposes stated and will not be made available for any other purposes or to any other party. This information is collected during account registration, submission and review processes. STiLE does not distribute this personally identifiable information except as necessary for the peer-review process and our journal production process. Limited contact information may be shared with others to facilitate networking opportunities. Personal information may be optionally requested for statistical purposes. By registering with STiLE, members are opting in to receive unit-related email messages, but may opt out at any time. 
  • STiLE monitors network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to damage the website or to upload or change information on STiLE 's servers. STiLE 's web operating system collects information that could help identify a possible threat. This is the only instance in which STiLE collects personal information and/or monitors user activity without asking the permission of, or giving prior notice to, a STiLE user.
